Lumar alternative

This page compares Lumar and Stillindexed on price, check cadence and alerts. Of everything we compare ourselves to, Lumar is the closest to what we actually do, and it is the more capable product. It monitors, it alerts, and it does a great deal more besides. The difference is not the feature list. It is who it is built for, and the fact that you cannot find out what it costs without a conversation.

What Lumar does

Their own copy offers to "Monitor changes & trends across all your core site metrics" and to "track multiple domains in one place". Their monitor guide is more specific about the mechanism: dashboards update as new scheduled crawls complete, with daily and weekly crawls as the worked examples. That is monitoring, and it is worth being precise that its rhythm is the crawl schedule rather than a per-URL check cycle.

On alerts, the evidence is first-party now: Lumar documents customizable issue alerts delivered in-app, by email, Slack or Teams, and publishes its crawler IPs for allowlisting. When we first wrote this page the alerting claim rested on a customer testimonial, which is a weaker grade of evidence, and we said so; the first-party documentation removes that caveat.

The part you cannot check

Lumar publishes no price. Their pricing page is a form: "Simply fill out the form to get started". There is no tier, no figure, and no way to work out whether it is within your budget before you have given someone your details and taken a call.

That is a normal enterprise motion and it is not a criticism of the product. It is a real cost to one specific buyer: a freelancer with eight client sites who wants to know the number today. For that person, the absence of a price is the answer.

Choose Lumar if

you are an enterprise with many domains and a procurement process. Lumar genuinely monitors and alerts, which most tools on this site do not, and it does far more besides. If a sales call and an enterprise contract are not obstacles, it is a more capable product than ours by a wide margin.

Choose us if you want to know the price before you speak to anyone, you are watching a list of client URLs rather than running a programme, and the whole job is being told quickly when one of them stops being indexable.

Questions

Does Lumar monitor a site and send alerts?

Yes. Their own copy offers to "Monitor changes & trends across all your core site metrics" and to "track multiple domains in one place". That is a genuine monitoring product, and among the tools we compare ourselves to it is the closest to what we do.

How much does Lumar cost?

They do not publish a price. Their pricing page is a contact form that says "Simply fill out the form to get started", with no tier and no figure. We publish ours on the pricing page and you can buy without speaking to anyone.

What is the real difference between Lumar and stillindexed?

Scale and how you buy. Lumar is an enterprise platform for teams running many domains as one programme, bought through a sales process. We are a narrow monitor for a person with a handful of client sites, bought with a card in two minutes. On capability, Lumar does more.

Is Lumar better than stillindexed?

For an enterprise, almost certainly. It crawls at a scale we do not attempt, covers analytics and accessibility alongside technical SEO, and monitors many domains together. The case for us is narrowness and price, not superiority.

Why does the alerting evidence matter here?

Because we grade it honestly. Lumar states the monitoring capability in its own words. Lumar now documents customizable issue alerts delivered in-app, by email, Slack, or Teams. Its monitor guide says dashboards update as scheduled crawls complete, so the crawl schedule determines when those alerts can reflect a change.

What does stillindexed cost?

Starter is $39 a month for 15 sites, checked every 30 minutes. Agency is $79 a month for 50 sites, checked every 15 minutes. Card first, no free tier and no trial, with a 30 day refund.

Check it yourself before believing any of this

We make one of the products being compared, so the useful thing we can offer is not another claim. These run one check against any URL, free, with no account and no email.

If a result surprises you on a client site, that is the thing this category exists to catch. Six checks when a site disappears from Google walks the same ground by hand.

We make one of these two products, and this is the comparison where we are clearly the smaller one. Every claim about Lumar is quoted from lumar.io and dated. If one is wrong, their page wins and we would like to know.
