The no-trial thing is a real cost and we are not going to talk around it. Our reasoning is that a trial on a monitoring product mostly measures whether anything broke during the trial, which is usually nothing, so it teaches you very little and costs us the infrastructure of running it. The refund is the honest substitute: pay, use it properly for a month, and if it has not earned its keep, ask for the money back and get it.
